Mindshare Taiwan hires Winnie Lyn as managing director

ASIA-PACIFIC, TAIWAN, JULY 26, 2013 – Mindshare Taiwan hires GroupM veteran Winnie Lyn as managing director. In her new role, she will direct the agency’s adaptive marketing agency, together with agency’s clients and leadership team.

Lyn’s focus will be on digital leadership, strategy and the role of data in delivering quantifiable results for clients. She will report to office on August 1.

Before Mindshare, Lyn spent 12 years as a client side marketer for some of the world’s biggest brands including L’Oréal, Heineken, Nestlé and Pillsbury.  Lyn also spent a few years at GroupM sister agency MEC where she was Executive Deputy GM for their Taiwan operations.

“My number one priority is to leverage Mindshare’s local and global expertise to deliver the best possible solutions to our clients.  I would like to have each and every client in Mindshare Taiwan see a marked increase in the quality of work they receive, and for each of them to lead the field in their respective categories.  As a former client for a number of organizations I know first hand what I would like from my lead communications agency, and we at Mindshare will strive to achieve that vision,” Lyn said.

Ashutosh Srivastava, Mindshare APAC chairman said: “With more than 2/3rd fixed broadband penetration in Taiwan, and more than half of its people using smartphones, technology has had a deep impact on the way consumers connect across media.  This means that the way media has to be planned and bought must change radically as the line between what’s digital and what’s traditional continues to blur. Winnie’s mandate is to effectively manage this change for Mindshare in Taiwan and continue to build its reputation as the leading agency partner for our clients. Critical to making this succeed is understanding and integrating how brands manage their paid, owned and earned media with Mindshare’s newly rolled out adaptive marketing approach. Winnie is widely regarded by her colleagues as a terrific leader – mentor, coach, work colleague and friend, and someone who brings great ideas and challenges norms. In her previous stint at GroupM, she was voted the most valuable employee. Its great to have her on board with us.”
