Nescafé Philippines launches points system with My Choice Facebook app

PHILIPPINES – JULY 13, 2011 – More than the hundreds of “likes” the Nescafé Philippines Facebook page receives for its posts, the page has been engaging its users through apps such as Coffee Wiz and the video competition Simple Shots, Simple Joys. To drive loyalty and further participation, MRM Philippines and Nestlé Philippines introduced in late June the Nescafé Points system, where users can earn points with by registering, inviting Facebook friends and participating in ongoing Nescafe promos.

 My Choice app daily question
 

My Choice, the first app to use Nescafé Points, was launched in July 4. The app asks a fun and easy question daily, which also earns points for the user. 
 
Nescafé Points can be used to redeem a variety of items, from wallpaper to Nescafe merchandise such as the iconic red mug and a USB card. Three Samsung Galaxy Tabs will also be raffled off this month for users with at least 1,000 Nescafé points. In addition to the monthly raffle, a trip for two to Boracay will be raffled off to the most active users at the end of the year–not a bad reward to Nescafé Philippines Facebook page’s 460,000-strong community.

According to Donald Lim, MRM Philippines Managing Director, “This campaign is an example of MRM’s take on digital- that it is all about Conversations between Relationships. Brands are NOT meant to disrupt conversations, rather, find a way to fit in. Then that’s when real engagement begins.”
