7 AD’s Mang Juan TV spots show new ways to eat snacks

MANILA, SEPTEMBER 4, 2013- Seven A.D. Advertising showcases two new TV spots for Jack `n Jill’s Chicharron and Chik`n Skin ni Mang Juan.

The series of commercials for Jack `n Jill Mang Juan’s new campaign is endorsed by the award-winning poet and musician Lourd de Veyra, who introduces new terms that describe the Filipino’s quirky and unique eating styles and habits.

“The campaign is inspired by the Pinoy’s penchant for inventing new words, we love creating new terms for things that we do and enjoy like snacking,” added Seven A.D. executive creative Director Russell Molina.

The “Winlalaki” campaign for Chicharron ni Mang Juan recommends ways to eat the product. In the campaign, a lady holds a piece of chicharrón (fried pork rinds) and looks at it in awe because of its bigger size. De Veyra dictates that she can’t stop expressing her joy as she starts jumping and dancing while eating the chicharrón.

Meanwhile, the campaign for Chik`n Skin ni Mang Juan introduces “Simumot,” which, as de Veyra says, means “Pagsimhot sa chicken skin ni Mang Juan hanggang sa huling mumu”. The ad shows De Veyra and his friend eating the product completely, wiping everything clean, including the plate, their lips, and fingers, and even each other’s cheeks.
