Five things you may not know about Manila Beer

PHILIPPINES – AUGUST 2010 – If you had the pleasure of attending the Manila Design Week and the IMMAP Summit this month, you’ve probably sampled Manila Beer, which has created a buzz for itself through its aggressive efforts to reach its young, urban and hip market.
 
Randy Lim, Manila Beer brand manager, stressed that the 100 percent all-malt beverage is premium beer at an affordable price. He shared these fast facts about the brand:

2. The Asia Brewery, Inc. (ABI) product is not totally new but a relaunched brand. Some may remember that thre was even a Manila Beer basketball team in the 1980s. However, only the name is the same–the formulation is completely new. 
3 The attractive bottle shape was designed in-house at ABI. The labels are on the neck of the bottle: green for Light beer, red for Strong.
4. Leo Burnett Manila is Manila Beer’s creative agency, helping the brand from its conceptualization to the execution of its materials such as the billboards dotting the metro.
5. Lim hinted at the possibility of celebrity endorsers in the near future.
 
Touted as the “walang sabit” less-hangover drink with a smooth taste and clean hit, Manila Beer hopes to reach trendsetters and put the country back on the map for beer lovers. Expect more Manila Beer to flow in upcoming events.
