Universal McCann retains SMDC media AOR title

THE PHILIPPINES, MARCH 5, 2012: Universal McCann (UM) Philippines has secured SM Development Corporation media agency-of-record title during a pitch against MediaEdge and Havas Media MPG on Monday, February 27. UM has handled the account for a year prior to the pitch.

Senior AVP for corporate marketing communications, SM Investments Corporation Rudy B. Villar, Jr. confirmed the win Friday, March 2. 
 
Considered to be one of the biggest out-of-home advertisers, SMDC currently has 14 upcoming residential projects located near schools, SM malls, and business districts.
 
UM also handles SM Investment Corporation (SMIC) and SM Mall of Asia (MOA) accounts. Other accounts, such as SM Retail (handled by OMD), and SM Supermalls (handled by MediaCom) are to remain with their respective agencies.
