LOS ANGELES – December 26, 2013 – To celebrate Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning’s record breaking touchdown streak, Gatorade created a film telling the athlete’s story by showing 51 passes with a single throw.
The film, "Peyton Manning 51 and Counting," was created by TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles is now live on YouTube and Instagram.
The video unfolds in a sort of stop-motion, and makes use of photos of Manning at different games, compiled to show a single throw.
The images are accompanied by the following words:
When people write you off,
When they criticize your choices,
When they doubt your abilities,
When they try to put limits on you,
When they say it’s time to step aside, that you’re done, you’re too old,
There are a lot of good reasons to simply ignore them.
Now, I guess, there’s one more.
Win From Within
Gatorade also published an ad in Sports Illustrated to congratulate Manning on his win as Sportsman of the Year. The ad uses only words and Manning’s number, 18.
