ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, MARCH 20, 2013 – MediaCom, a GroupM unit, has gone through a management shakeup after big company account wins just last month. Aside from bagging the US$150 million regional Fonterra account, the media agency also hooked accounts from P&G and Coca-Cola.
Rahul Vasudev and Arjun Ghosh, both of whom worked on the P&G account, move up the ladder – Vasudev as head of digital for Asia-Pacific and Ghosh as head of the agency’s business science division, a unit within MediaCom that measures advertising effectiveness. Vasudev, whose team across the region is composed of 300 people, will be leading the team from Singapore while Ghosh will be based out of MediaCom’s office in China.
Commenting on the management restructure, Toby Jenner, COO for Asia-Pacific, said: “This presents tremendous opportunities for the people we already have in our business. [This is also an] opportunity to handpick great talent from across the region that we want to bring into the MediaCom fold.”
Apart from the internal promotions, MediaCom has also named Sean Seamer chief business development and marketing officer and Radhika Ramani as head of accountability. Seamer has worked at the agency before taking a sabbatical in mid-2012. Ramani, who is yet to join, comes from OMG where she was head of pricing for Asia-Pacific.
