Forbes Philippines now on newstands

MANILA – Forbes Media LLC has just launched the Philippine edition of Forbes Magazine last week, marking the 38th local publication under the Forbes brand.

First announced in April 2014, Forbes Philippines is published under a licensing agreement between Forbes Media LLC and Summit Media. 

Leading its editorial team is editor-in-chief Roel Landingin, the former business editor of the Manila Times and bureau chief of Bloomberg News in the Philippines, among other roles in his career spanning 20 years.

Forbes Philippines will offer feature articles on how entrepreneurs, business owners, executives, celebrities and philanthropists are making a difference. It will feature Forbes stories globally together with local content from the Forbes Philippines team.

The initial circulation of Forbes Philippines will be 10,000 per month. Forbes Media LLC also publishes Forbes Asia, its flagship magazine in the region, and under licensing partnerships, Forbes China, Forbes India, Forbes Indonesia, Forbes Japan, Forbes Korea, Forbes Mongolia, Forbes Thailand and Forbes Vietnam. In total, the Forbes brand in Asia has a circulation of some 500,000.

Founded in 1995, Summit Media has an extensive portfolio of over 20 publications both on print and online. This includes other popular global magazine titles Elle Decoration Philippines, Entrepreneur Philippines, Esquire Philippines,FHM Philippines and Men’s Health Philippines,

Manila will be hosting the annual Forbes Global CEO Conference for the first time from October 12 to 14, a month before the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings in November. Now in its 15th year, the conference will be sponsored by SM Investments Corporation (SMIC) and BDO Unibank, International Container Terminal Services Incorporated (ICTSI) and San Miguel Corporation (SMC).
