McCann Erickson Singapore sparks athletic fervor with Youth Olympics campaign

 

GLOBAL – McCann Erickson Singapore’s integrated worldwide campaign for the world’s first Youth Olympic Games spans film, outdoor, print and the web. It includes a viral video of Asafa Powell, one of the world’s fastest sprinters, being outrun by a teen, which was seeded on youth forums, runners’ sites and social networks. The viral drew 300,000 views in two weeks. Powell later appeared in a video on the official Youth Olympic Games site.

The Youth Olympics, which takes place on August 14 to 26, 2010, involves 26 sports, 4,000 athletes and officials and half a million spectators.
