Martha Sazon, President and CEO of Mynt, the parent company of GCash, has been named among Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in Asia 2026, ranking No. 35 on the annual list. This marks her third consecutive year on Fortune’s prestigious ranking, following her recognition in 2024 and 2025.

The recognition comes as Martha leads GCash into a pivotal period of growth. The Philippine fintech is set to debut on the Philippine Stock Exchange on October 20 through an initial public offering expected to raise approximately PHP 61 billion ($973 million), potentially making it the largest-ever listing in the Philippines. The IPO has secured cornerstone commitments from BlackRock, T. Rowe Price, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Since taking the helm of Mynt during the COVID-19 pandemic, Martha has steered GCash through rapid growth and transformation. The platform has since become the Philippines’ first and only $5 billion unicorn, with 90 million Filipinos having used the app and around 41.5 million monthly users.

Under Martha’s leadership, GCash has expanded from a mobile wallet into a broader digital financial ecosystem, offering services including remittances, savings, credit, insurance, and investments. Its growth has likewise strengthened the company’s mission of advancing financial inclusion by making financial services more accessible to Filipinos across the country.

Martha’s third consecutive Fortune recognition adds to a growing list of accolades for her leadership and innovation, including the 2022 Master Innovator for Digital Transformation from the Mansmith Innovation Awards, the 2023 Woman of the Year from the Asia Leaders Awards, and Tatler’s 2024 Front & Female Business Leader Award.

Fortune’s annual list recognizes 100 women leaders influencing business across Asia’s financial, consumer, technology, industrial, transport, aviation, and energy sectors, “where scale, digitalization, and supply‐chain resilience define competitive advantage.”
