Grab drivers face growing challenges as record-high fuel prices and the increasing cost of living strain their livelihoods. For those raising families, the added costs of healthcare and education make it even harder to stretch their earnings and provide for their loved ones. By supporting drivers through these uncertain times, Grab reinforces its role as a trusted partner, ensuring they can continue delivering quality service to passengers.

To showcase this, Grab and GIGIL collaborated with award-winning Filipino filmmaker Brillante Mendoza on a short film portraying the difficult choices Grab drivers face as breadwinners. Entitled “The Choice,” the film centers on a father caught between two paths, torn between providing for his daughter’s medical needs and his son’s education. Upon learning about Grab’s healthcare benefits and educational assistance, he applies for both programs, enabling him to meet the needs of both children.
“The Choice” has garnered 41 million views and 137K engagements on various platforms since posting.
