MANILA, PHILIPPINES – In a world increasingly driven by data, 29 women are stepping into the future, not just armed with code, but with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
Through a transformative partnership between the InLife Foundation and the For the Women (FTW) Foundation, these trailblazing women recently graduated from a rigorous 14 week Data Science Training program designed to equip them with the tools of tomorrow. From data management and statistical modeling to Python programming and machine learning, the curriculum pushed boundaries. But it didn’t stop there – it also honed soft skills like critical thinking and effective communication, arming the scholars with a holistic toolkit for the ever-evolving tech landscape.
It’s part of InLife Foundation’s bigger mission: to uplift women through education and open doors to careers of the future. Since 2021, InLife, the corporate social responsibility arm of Insular Life has backed 78 scholars through its Data Science initiative. And the numbers speak volumes. Among the second batch of graduates, 77% have already transitioned into roles in data analytics, tripling their previous earnings.
InLife Foundation Trustee and InLife Chief Corporate Solutions Officer Noemi Azura told the graduates that they will not just build careers but shape industries, drive innovation, and create real impact.
“Your journey is just beginning. You have the skills, the knowledge, and the determination to succeed in this fast-growing field. Companies everywhere need skilled data analysts—problem solvers who turn numbers into insights and insights into action. You are the problem solvers. Believe in yourself, seize opportunities, keep learning, and always pay it forward,” she said during the Data Science Scholars Capstone Presentation and Graduation Day.
The ceremony was a celebration not just of learning, but of leadership, joined by industry champions such as Yves Kangleon (Cebu Pacific), Karen Keeler (Cyan Services Corporation), Michelle Alarcon (FTW Foundation), Efren Caringal Jr. (InLife), and Cara Wilson (FTW Foundation), alongside a lineup of capstone mentors.
