IMMAP appoints Omnicom’s Paolo Yuvienco as Head of Boomerang Awards jury

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) has introduced Omnicom’s Chief Technology, Officer Paolo Yuvienco, as Head of its Boomerang Awards jury. Leading a 45-person jury in sifting and choosing the best entries in the show’s 15th edition, he is expected to announce the shortlist on October 14 on IMMAP’s page on Facebook and on adobo Magazine

Since 2017, Paolo has worked closely with Omnicom’s largest global clients to help define and operationalize their transformation agendas. Additionally, Paolo has also led several strategic initiatives, including Omnicom’s platform roadmap and global delivery capability.  

Paolo also served as Global Chief Technology Officer at DigitasLBi, where he collaborated with global heads of strategy, creative, user experience, and media to bring together its creative innovation, technical expertise, and IP for global clients like HPE, Nissan, and Whirlpool. Earlier in his career, he focused on software research and development at AT&T Labs and several start-ups in the telecommunications space. He continues to serve as an advisory board member to several NYC-based startups.

Paolo shared, “I am honored to be heading the jury of the premier digital awards in my ancestral homeland this year. My connection to the Philippines runs deep, and anything I can do to help promote the advancements in technology here, specifically in marketing and advertising, gives me nothing but pride and joy. I look forward to listening and learning from regional and local experts throughout the process.” 

Coming into the final deliberation at the start of IMMAP’s Digicon “Digimax,” Paolo and the Boomerang team are aligned. “Our goal is to connect our clients to consumers with experiences that influence their behavior to drive better business outcomes,” Paolo added. “My expectations are to find those pieces of work that not only connect with people but also deliver quantifiable business results.”
