The Philippines’ brand ambassadors, illustrated

PHILIPPINES, APRIL 11, 2011 – Who are the faces of your country? Designer Brian Tenorio sought to answer this question in a curated exhibit, which opened last March 30 at the Greenbelt 3 ground floor lobby. The exhibit features a series of illustrations by different artists of Filipino icons deemed “The Ambassadors of the Philippine Brand”.

“There is a Philippine brand, and it is made up of the personalities and products behind them.” says Tenorio.

The personalities featured in the exhibit were determined by sustained exposure or current relevance in a concept-category, as well as frequency of mention and media presence, and love for country in direct association with the Philippines. The people featured were Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala for business; Kenneth Cobonpue for industrial design; Lea Salonga for performing arts; Miguel Syjuco for writing; Cory and Noynoy Aquino for politics; Brillante Mendoza for film, Tony Meloto for social good and development; Angel Aquino, Charo Ronquillo, Venus Raj, and Paolo Roldan for beauty and style; Charice Pempengco for music and entertainment; Jaime Zobel for business and art; Reese Fernandez-Ruiz for style and social enterprise; and Pinoy Health Workers for professional services.
