New Digital Platform Inspires and Educates at Grey Group

Singapore– Grey Group Asia Pacific recently launched GChannel, its new video-based platform for Grey Group people everywhere to share inspirations, ideas, and insights. The site, part of a global platform developed by the Group’s New York offices, is divided into six key sections:

• University: the online extension of its budding offline portfolio of training programs known as Grey Group University.
• Trends: where its executives and young Trendspotters Network report in on breaking trends.
• Tools: which covers Grey Group’s proprietary planning products and research projects such as the recently launched Eye on Asia, Brand Acceleration, and Context Planning, as well as parent company WPP tools such as BrandZ.
• HR/Benes: to explain human resources and benefits policies, address FAQs and welcome newcomers.
• Help Desk: how to use technology and digital platforms better, including Grey Group’s extensive suite of intranet products.
• About Us: Orientation videos that bring each agency to life for the global network, assisting in cross country business referrals and pitches.

GChannel videos currently showing are created by Grey Group employees, though the channel plans to include works from clients, business leaders and academics soon.  New videos on the site are announced to employees via the Grey Group Asia Pacific Dashboard, a newly launched screen on each employee’s computer that features breaking leadership messages and company news, as well as icons and links for the companies’ intranets, wiki and latest research. In addition to content developed at the regional level for all employees, GChannel also has its own country sections for individual agency use.

“GChannel is a dynamic, fun and impactful way to introduce people, ideas and curriculums to our teams across 17 countries. Over time, we plan to feature full courses so we consider GChannel to be a valuable extension – an online campus if you will – of our offline talent development through Grey Group University. Secondarily, it’s a great tool to have at a time when everyone’s watching their budgets,” says Nirvik Singh, chairman and CEO of Grey Group Asia Pacific.
