ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, DECEMBER 7, 2011: Yolk, a Grey Group company, announced the win of the Ministry of Information, Communication and Arts (MICA) tender, taking over all digital and social media duties for www.sg and www.mysingapore for the upcoming 2012 year.
“We are honoured to have been awarded this tender”, said Social Media Director Prakash Somosundram. “MICA understands the importance of Social Media, especially when we take into account the growth of citizens on social media networks in the past 12-18 months.”
Along with community management, Yolk will be leading, conceptualising, and developing an initiative around the return of Singapore’s participation in the Malaysia Cup in 2012, in which they intend to “bring Singaporeans at home and abroad together as one heart and one voice”.
“This is a special moment in history. Most Singaporeans would have experienced the great footballing event that is the Malaysia Cup in some way. However, in the age of Social Media, we hope to create a first-of-its kind experience”, continues Prakash. “As we continue conceptualising, we foresee the initiative bringing together Singaporeans of all ages and creed through an integrated experience on social media, mobile, and offline channels. We are very excited that MICA shares and supports this vision with us.”
