Turner hires Edward Barnieh for APAC acquisitions role

ASIA-PACIFIC – CHINA, APRIL 24, 2013 – Turner International has announced the appointment of Edward Barnieh as programming and acquisitions manager for Asia Pacific.

Based in Hong Kong, Edward will be responsible for Turner’s acquisition strategies for its kids’ networks in Asia Pacific, including Cartoon Network, Cartoonito, POGO, Toonami and Boomerang.

Having spent over a decade working in kids broadcasting in the UK, Barnieh brings years of multi-platform experience to the regional team and will be a key part of Turner’s international Asia Pacific acquisitions strategy.

Prior to joining Turner, Barnieh worked at Nickelodeon UK for almost nine years, working on the expansion of the award-winning networks and developing content for global markets. He also was heavily involved in the roll-out of video-on-demand and mobile TV services for the company. He began his career at Viacom in London.
