Alex Lubar promoted to global CMO of McCann Worldgroup

NEW YORK – January 27, 2014 – Alex Lubar, who joined McCann Erickson as CMO of its North American region, has been promoted to Global CMO of McCann Worldgroup, a new position, effective immediately.  In a related move, Chioma Aduba is joining McCann’s flagship New York agency, from Grey, as New Business Group Director, McCann Worldgroup said in a press release.
 
Harris Diamond, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of McCann Worldgroup, said, “What makes Alex so effective in business development, in addition to tenacity, is that he relishes the complexity of brand challenges in today’s complex business environment and he knows how to harness resources to create innovative multiplatform solutions.”
 
Lubar has successfully leveraged the capabilities of Worldgroup in North America and has led a number of global opportunities. Recent additions to McCann’s client rosters are the United States Postal Service, Lockheed Martin, Zurich Insurance, SABIC, Jose Cuervo, the American Frozen Food Institute and Ignite Restaurant Group.

Earlier, she held business development posts at Havas PR and JWT, and was a Brand Marketing Manager at Sports Illustrated. Chris Macdonald, President, McCann New York, said, “Chioma is a smart and high energy leader and is a fantastic addition to the McCann team.” 
 
Prior to joining McCann, Lubar had been a key leader of the New Business group at Grey. His agency experience includes business development as well as overseeing high profile packaged goods, government and retail campaigns at Grey, BBH, Rapp Collins and The Ad Store.
