Rooted in collaboration with official academic esports organizations and varsity teams, Drop Zone kicks off its first major initiative—a partnership with Campus Legends 2025, the region’s premier collegiate esports tournament organized by C2E4 of Singapore. This year marks the seventh season of Campus Legends, and its biggest yet, expanding to 11 ASEAN countries and remaining the only officially sanctioned collegiate esports competition by each participating nation’s National Esports Federation.

The 2025 edition features the competitive games Street Fighter 6 and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, giving young players a chance to represent their schools in the fast-growing collegiate esports circuit. In the Philippines, Drop Zone hosted the local qualifiers last October 4 at SM Cyberzone Makati, where student gamers faced off in high-intensity, onsite and onground matches to determine the country’s representatives.

The event brought together a lively and strong mix of brands that support the gaming ecosystem: foremost of which are SM Makati and PC Express for helping set the stage for the community; gaming hardware brand Fantech; tech leader LG; FMCG and QSR powerhouses Oishi, Jollibee, and Soy Bueno; as well as pharma and wellness brands Neozep Z+ Forte, Enervon Z+, Power Up Climbing Alabang, Enderun CrossFit, and Evervon.

By the end of the event, top Philippine champions emerged: The NU Bulldogs for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Jedhiel James S. Pasco for Street Fighter 6. These proud student esports stars will be flown to Singapore to represent the nation and their schools at the Campus Legends Finals on November 1, 2025, competing against the best collegiate players from across Southeast Asia.

“We’re proud to carry not just our campus, but the whole Philippines in Campus Legends. We’re determined to show what true Pinoy talent is all about—and we’ll give our all to secure the championship,” said Coach Palacio of the NU Bulldogs.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent my country in Street Fighter 6 and compete against representatives from other countries. I’m really happy to showcase my abilities in the competition while also meeting new people along the way. Let’s have a nice game!” shared Jedhiel James Pasco of De La Salle University.

With Drop Zone’s launch through Campus Legends, the next generation of gaming champions now have a dedicated arena—where legitimate players, fandoms, schools, and strong brand support meet in one truly connected community built for collaboration and competition.
