51Talk Philippines mounts PR campaign with success stories and new ambassador

MANILA – 51Talk, billed as China’s top ESL platform, paid tribute to its teachers this National Teacher’s Month by honoring three stand-out educators from #51TalkTeacher Story, an online contest about the remarkable stories of its online teachers.

In just three years, 51Talk has grown to 4,000 home-based teachers. Its “e-educators” come from all over the country and from all walks of life, leading to dozens of success stories on how the company transformed their lives.

The idea behind #51TalkTeacherStory is to put the spotlight on these real-life stories in a bid to showcase home-based careers and the fulfillment 51Talk’s teachers are experiencing.

Teacher Moyee won first place and a cash prize of P50, 000, sharing that 51Talk made her recognize how confidence was integral in overcoming anything. Taking home 2nd and 3rd place are Teacher Lilydale and Teacher Amorlove, who each brought home P30, 000 and P20, 000, respectively.

Looking forward, Shu Ting, Country Manager and Co-founder, shared with the press that #51TalkTeacher Story is part of the company’s upcoming publicity blitz, headlined by Michele Gumabao as its new brand ambassador.

A multi-awarded professional volleyball player and inspirational speaker, Gumabao is also an e-educator with 51Talk and can speak from experience how the platform can transform both student and teacher.

“I’ve always had a passion for volleyball and strive to deliver my 100% during every match. One of my other passions is teaching. I pour the same amount of energy as if I were in a match because I want to motivate my students and ensure that they learn well and to the best of their abilities.”

“e-Educators are hardworking individuals who give their lives in helping others succeed. Every day, they inspire me to become a better player and coach,” she shared.
