MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Ideas agency GIGIL has won a finalist berth in the APAC Effies, which recognize the region’s most marketing effective ad campaigns, capping successes in The One Show and New York Festival – among the world’s toughest creative competitions.
The two-year-old agency’s digital film for Levi’s called “Studs” was shortlisted in the retail category by the Effies, the gold standard of marketing effectiveness.
The same Christmas film made the cut in the creative effectiveness category of The One Show, “the world’s most prestigious awards show recognizing the best creative work in advertising, interactive, design and branded entertainment.” Two other pieces from GIGIL made it to the shortlist: the agency’s film for SNAILWHITE
Whipp Soap and Moisture Facial Cream (in the category film under USD 100K budget), and the agency’s integrated campaign for Unilever called “SHOP2GIVE” (creative effectiveness category).
In The New York Festivals, which honor “the world’s best advertising and creative communications,” Levi’s “Studs” was also named finalist in the creative marketing strategy/effectiveness category. Another idea from GIGIL made it to the final round: 7-Eleven CLiQQ’s “Darkness,” which was cited in the film category.
Winners of the APAC Effies will be announced September, while metals will be given out by The One Show and New York Festivals this coming May.
