MediaCom wins Fonterra media duties

MANILA, FEBRUARY 15, 2013 – MediaCom Philippines is set to handle Fonterra Philippines’ media duties starting April 1, following a regional bid win, which will see MediaCom agencies take over media duties in 10 markets across the region.

 
The New Zealand-based dairy brand called for the pitch early August last year to select the media agency for 10 markets across the region which covers China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates and the Philippines.
 
OMD is the incumbent media agency for nine of these markets while ZenithOptimedia took care of media duties for the Vietnam market.
 
The bid was a close fight between Carat, OMD, Mediabrands, MediaCom and ZenithOptimedia. ZenithOptimedia was again shortlisted for the Vietnam market in November.
 
Fonterra’s brands include bone nutrition expert milk brand Anlene and formulated maternal milk Anmum.
