Midweek Premier for Project Runway Season 2

No visa required as the high-heeled and mini-dressed tromped their way up Embassy last Friday. On the heels (pun intended) of its runaway hit first season, Project Runway Philippines launched its second season to a warm crowd of well-wishers at The Fort.  Produced by Solar Entertainment, Season 2 premieres on ETC on Wednesday, August 12.

Totally faithful to the Heidi Klum-original reality TV show, its Philippine counterpart features the usual suspects from the first season: Host Teresa Herrera, pundits Rajo Laurel, fashion designer and Apples Aberin-Sadhwani, fashion model and lifestyle columnist, and mentor Jojie Lloren, fashion designer and teacher. The School of Fashion and the Arts (SoFA) returns as the haven for the next crop of fashion designer wanna-bes.

Present at the launch, of course, were the stars of the show—the thirteen contestants vying to be “in not out.”  Season 2’s lucky 13 were described by the hosts as being a colorful, tight-knit bunch, that “showed more camaraderie.”  Beyond that, no one dared say more lest they were fined a whopping six million bucks.
