ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, AUGUST 2, 2013 – In time with Singapore’s National Day, Mentos came up with a campaign concerning a national issue of abating birthrate by “ensuring their urge” on the night of the commemoration.
Through the years, Mentos is known for giving a cool smash on National day commemoration. This year, a cool RnB clank is giving us a sweet note of proposal of Singapore to Finland with the collaboration of their creative agency, BBH Asia Pacific.
Singapore is well-known for its being very systematic and having a good GDP, yet the land is really small and the population is getting bigger and bigger. Mentos made a proposal video of marrying Finland so they can have its land since the land of Finland is relatively mammoth with very small population.
Singapore’s landmass is 687 km² with a population of 5,460,302 while Finland’s 338,424 km² with 5,432,305 people.
“The National Day Proposal is an epic plan to get Singapore more land by asking Finland to marry us. Why Finland? We have so much in common. We’re both rich and both well educated; And we’d like some of that land. I think Fingapore rolls off the tongue quite nicely,” said Maurice Wee, creative director, BBH Asia Pacific
