TBWASantiago Mangada Puno leads PHL agencies in Cannes Lions 2015

MANILA – After winning the Philippines’ first Lion this year in the Lions Health Awards for its campaign, ‘Hana Water Billboard’ (The Vetiver Project), the project is once again shortlisted for two more categories: Media and Design Lions.

This project also recently won a Grand Clio Image Award, a Wood Pencil in D&AD, 2 Bronze Pencils and 1 Silver Pencil in One Show.

This first of its kind floating billboard was mounted on Pasig River, one of the most polluted rivers in the Philippines, and maybe even the world in February 2014. It’s made of Vetiver, a perennial, non-invasive grass often used to treat wastewater and stabilize landfills and garbage dumpsites. Based on research, a Vetiver system can clean up to 2,000 to 8,000 gallons of water per day.
