SINGAPORE – It has been no doubt a good year for Philippine advertising. After recently nabbing Bronze Lions in Cannes and a couple of Gold in AD Stars in Busan, PH agencies have again emerged with multiple metal wins at the Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity.
TBWA\SMP finished with the biggest haul after winning a total of nine Spikes including a three Golds in the Print and Publishing category for ABS-CBN Foundation campaign, ‘Sabina’, ‘Boat’, ‘Float’. The agency also collected a Silver Spike for ‘Dirty Watercolor’, a Cannes Lions-winning campaign again for ABS-CBN Foundation in the Outdoor category, and multiple Bronze Spikes for ‘Countless Colors’, ‘Millennials for Marcos’, ‘Sabina’, and ‘Boat’.
Meanwhile, BBDO Guerrero got a coveted Creative Effectiveness Spike for tourism campaign, ‘It’s more fun in the Philippines’.
Taking home more Silver Spikes for team Philippines is Leo Burnett Manila and MullenLowe Philippines which were awarded for ‘Beer’, ‘Deer’, ‘Lizard’ advocacy campaign for WWF in the Print and Outdoor category, and ‘Gulpihan sa 7-Eleven’ which banked on a hypothetical internet brawl, in the PR category, respectively.
J. Walter Thompson Manila and Dentsu Jayme Syfu each won a Bronze Spike each in the Media and Film categories while Havas Ortega won its very first Spike, a Bronze for ‘The Living Logo’ in the Design category.
