MANILA, MARCH 11, 2013 – Ci-8 Social Media Research and Insight has developed a social media tracker ranking the 33 candidates for the upcoming senatorial elections.
The 2013 Philippine Senatorial Elections Social Media Tracker shows charts measuring the popularity of Philippine senatorial candidates through number of Facebook likes and Twitter followers, total number of mention, sentiment rankings according to mentions, and a conversation cloud for each. The site also features brief profiles of the candidates, categorized according to their political parties.
As of 7:00pm, March 11, Senator Loren Legarda leads the Facebook list with a total of 209,461 likes, followed by Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, whose page is more than 50,000 likes behind. Independent of any political party, Senator Chiz Escudero has the most followers on Twitter: 108,883. Senator Risa Hontiveros tails behind with 51,227 followers. The charts update real-time.
Las Pinas representative Cynthia Villar dominates both Top 12 lists of positive mention and total number of mention, updated every three days.
