TBWA strengthens Shanghai office with senior hires

ASIA-PACIFIC – SHANGHAI, CHINA, JANUARY 2011 – TBWA\Shanghai gears up for growth in early 2011 with two new senior appointments in both account management and creative management.
 
TBWA\Shanghai announces the appointment of Michael Donohue as Group Account Director, focusing on TBWA’s adidas business.
 
Donohue brings 15 years of career experience in both New York and San Francisco. He has spent the past eight years in sports marketing field providing strategic consultancy and creating integrated programs for FOX Sports, Major League Baseball, Nestle and Visa.

TBWA\Shanghai has also hired Tan Yan Chay as Group Creative Director. Yan Chay has worked in China for almost four years, in both Beijing and Shanghai at Ogilvy and DDB. Yan Chay is an award winning creative director with recognition from international advertising festivals such as Cannes Lions and the Clio Awards.
 
In his new role, Yan Chay will oversee the development of Skittles, Pfizer, Visa and Standard Chartered Bank, reporting to the agency’s Executive Creative Director, Chien Hwang.
 
Commenting on the new hires, Jeff Ma, TBWA\Shanghai Managing Director said: “Together we’ve made an exciting year of 2010 in terms of business growth and integration.
