The two first met in Bali, where their shared passion for storytelling led to a series of collaborations that sparked the beginning of D x J. David Freixanet
David is a director who turns every campaign into a unique visual experience. His work does not just communicate — it breathes. Born in Manresa, Barcelona, he began his career as an Art Director and Creative at international agencies such as BBDO and McCann, before founding his own independent agency, Drop&Vase, which he led for over ten years creating award-winning international campaigns. He has worked on campaigns for global brands across Europe, America and Asia, always bringing his own vision and a straightforward attitude with a rebellious edge that breaks molds without losing elegance. He currently lives in Bali and works worldwide.
His style is unmistakable striking aesthetics, vibrant color palettes, camera movements full of character and magnetic direction of actors that blend authenticity with freshness. His pieces breathe rhythm, intention and beauty precisely balancing narrative and visuals to create immersive worlds that captivate and leave a lasting impression. One of the hallmarks of his projects is their own soul —a unique signature that makes each piece memorable and one of a kind.
Jill Zaldivar
Jill is the Founder of Previs Manila Animatics, The Outer Region Films in Singapore, and Hyper Tiger VFX. With over two decades of experience in the industry across the Philippines, Singapore, and Indonesia, he has worked with brands like Unilever, Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Toyota, Lamborghini, andSamsung, bringing their stories to life through previsualization, VFX, and TVC direction. He has also collaborated with major agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather,Publicis Manila, TBWA, and Leo Burnett, delivering projects that make an impact.
Before running his own companies, Jill began as an Art Director, Storyboard Artist, apprentice, and 2nd Unit Director, working alongside top local and international directors. This hands-on experience in storytelling and visual execution gave him a deep understanding of production. His creativity is fueled by a love for surfing, jiujitsu, motorcycles, and cars — interests that keep him inspired and sharp. Jill believes that great storytelling is about capturing real emotions and translating life experiences into powerful moments on screen. The best stories are the ones that feel real — crafted with vision, executed with precision, and always rooted in authenticity.
