Seems like “The Last Journey of Ninoy” is to embark on yet another trip. At the 6th Al Jazeera International Documentary Film Festival, Unico Entertainment’s first production is nominated for Al Jazeera Golden Award, in the Medium Film category.
The festival will be held from April 19 to 22. Al Jazeera English is based in Doha, Qatar.
“The Last Journey of Ninoy” faces competition from entries from Russia and Turkey, the two country being the festival’s guests of honor.
Reportedly, the film’s director Jun Reyes, also well-known for his television commercial works, will represent the production in Qatar. Aside from a trophy, the award includes a cash prize of QR20,000.
In March, “The Last Journey of Ninoy” also got a nomination from the New York Festivals Television and Film Awards 2010.
