Visit Japan Facebook campaign expands to additional Asian countries

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, OCTOBER 28, 2010 – Following the success of the “Visit Japan 2010″ Facebook campaign in Singapore, the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) has extended the campaign to more countries in Asia.

JNTO’s very first Facebook campaign in Singapore has successfully garnered almost 110,000 Likes, about half of these Likes in just six weeks in March this year, making it one of Singapore’s largest brand pages on Facebook. The steady growth of the page has encouraged the JNTO to create separate Visit Japan pages for Malaysia , Thailand and Hong Kong to reach more users, the latter two in Thai and Chinese, respectively. Reach Block Page ads were launched in each individual country to promote the pages and to encourage users to Like the pages.
