McCann Erickson, the advertising arm of McCann Worldgroup, ran off with the booty at the annual Unilab Rave Awards. Unilab, the country’s top pharmaceutical company and one of McCann’s biggest clients, recognizes work and accomplishments of their club agencies. This year, McCann Erickson’s campaign for Skelan “Ayos na ang Buto-Buto” was most awarded, earning several citations including Best Campaign for the Medium Budget category.
Honored for its non-traditional integrated approach, Skelan’s “Ayos na ang Buto-buto” took a different perspective on arthritis management and focused its campaign on vitality and mobility, mood and tone optimistic, active, and youthful. The campaign encouraged the value of re-integrating elders back into family and social life. On the business, the Skelan campaign yielded immediate and overwhelming success, achieving quick market gains for the brand just four (4) months from launch. The Skelan campaign’s honors include: the Nova Innovation Award, Citation for Creative Development and the Best Campaign for the Medium Budget category.
Other campaigns garnering awards were Biogesic “Ingat”, receiving a Citation for Creative Development and Ceelin’s “Bakuna” for the Best Print Ad.
Among McCann Erickson’s laurels at the event, the first Unilab Rave Award recognizing excellent management went to Yvonne Salcedo, who was given a citation for Best Account Servicing and McCann, the Best Account Servicing Team. Salcedo’s award is the first in the history of Rave Awards wherein an individual is cited.
