Filmworks brings Hollywood to China

ASIA-PACIFIC – CHINA, SEPTEMBER 28, 2012 – Over 230 delegates from 100 companies in China were treated to a sneak peak at some of the most promising commercial upcoming Hollywood movies, as they attended a closed-door conference with Hollywood studios last week. 
 
The conference – hosted by Filmworks China, JWT Shanghai and GroupM China – sought to create opportunity for brands in China to sit down with executives from major Hollywood studios to discuss product placement, licensing deals and tie-in promotions.
 
JWT Shanghai managing Eric Lee said the response from both sides was incredible. “There is clearly a big appetite among companies in China to increase their brand profile by working with Hollywood properties,” he added.
 
The “Hollywood in China” event was the first time for most studio executives to showcase their properties to such a large audience of potential partners and clients. Sirena Liu, founder of Filmworks China, said “They really put their hearts in preparing the presentation materials, and present the slates with passion and professions. As a result, the whole event presentation was fabulous, and audience was captivated.”
