ASIA-PACIFIC – MALAYSIA, FEBRUARY 2011 – Interactive Hub has secured a sponsorship deal with Heineken on ESPNSoccernet for three seasons of the UEFA Champions League (UCL).
ESPNSoccernet is the leading soccer and sports website in Malaysia with more than 630,000 unique users in October 2010, according to Omniture. It recently unveiled a new look that gives greater visibility for brand advertisers.
The sponsorship will increase visibility of Heineken branding on UCL pages and UCL’s “Game of the Week” microsite, and co-branded banner inventory on ESPNSoccernet.
“Heineken has always been active in sports sponsorship. Besides being the official global sponsor of the UCL, they are also the official beer of Chelsea Football Club. Their sponsorship of the UCL on ESPNSoccernet is testament to the value and exposure the website can create for advertisers,” said Kenniess Wong, Regional Managing Director of Interactive Hub, the exclusive sales representative of ESPNSoccernet in the region.
