MANILA, OCTOBER 15, 2012 – Renowned fashion designer Brian Tenorio kicked off his brainchild and magazine show “Design Para Sa Lahat” Saturday, October 14, 2012.
It is the first TV show in the Philippines about design, business, and travel. Through the show, Tenorio brings viewers to the top design destinations in the country – from Kalinga to Davao; Marikina to Cebu.
However, a day before the show aired on national (GMA News TV) and international (GMA Pinoy TV), Tenorio released a statement of apology, asking the audience to bear with him as he debuts as a host.
“The last several months have been the craziest. Twelve-hour travel stints and layers and layers of makeup, I developed new respect and increased admiration for TV hosts. Akala ko rati madali lang (Before I thought it was easy),” Tenorio said.
Starting from a “germ idea” in February, the show finally came into completion last Saturday.
“They say it’s bad to start a performance with an apology pero bahala na,” Tenorio said. “So please join us laugh off all my hosting mistakes and on-the-job training hoopla as his designer tries on TV show hosting and production work for the first time.”
This pilot season is dedicated every one who is just starting out in design and in the business of selling design. “Ganyan talaga ang pagsisimula ng isang bagong adventure: Masaya pero nakakapagod, magulo pero ok slang; nakaka-in love na nakakabagot na nakakain love. Promise (It’s really like that when you start out: Happy but tiring, chaotic but that’s alright, it makes you fall in love, it makes you exasperated but it makes you fall in love again),” Tenorio said.
