GLOBAL, SEPTEMBER 2, 2013 – 180 Amsterdam has created a global campaign for Qatar Airways, the first-ever commercial sponsor of FC Barcelona in its 114-year history.
The campaign flies us to the fictional island home for the global supporters of the Blaugrana: the Land of FC Barcelona. The video starts with the Airways cabin attendant travelling through the island and meeting FC Barcelona players past and present, before reaching her final destination, Camp Nou.
Fans, current players and Barça legends inhabit the island. Barcelona players filling various jobs around the city, such as Gerard Piqué, who played the role of a customs officer and Walkers ambassador and former England star Gary Lineker, who appeared as a taxi driver.
It will be aired on TV and online (through YouTube and the brand’s website) and forms part of the wider campaign ’Qatar Airways and FC Barcelona – a team that unites the world’
