Kia Motors grills Rafael Nadal in Open Drive

ASIA-PACIFIC – AUSTRALIA, JANUARY 27, 2012: Kia Motors, the major sponsor for this year’s Australian Open, took the greatest tennis stars for a ride in the new Kia Soul while grilling them with fans’ questions. In Kia’s ‘Ask Directly to the Stars’ Facebook campaign, the South Korean automotive brand asked fans to post their questions in its official Facebook page for Australian Open players. The questions were relayed during the ‘Open Drive’ wherein the players took a ride in the new model and were peppered with questions flashed on an iPad.

The Open Drive kicked off with Kia’s brand ambassador and tennis superstar Rafael Nadal in the back seat answering questions such as: “Vanilla or chocolate?”, “Blonde or brunette?”, and even “Give us your best Aussie accent?”. Check out the video below.

Other tennis superstars taken for the Open Drive were Petra Kvitova, Victoria Azarenka, Stanislas Wawrinka, Patrick Rafter, and Liezel Huber, to name a few.
Kia has also sent fans from across the world to watch the Australian Open through the Kia Fan of the Week campaign and Guess What Nadal Likes through social network.
