PANA president Margot Torres commits on championing self-regulation and good values in advertising

THE PHILIPPINES, JANUARY 27, 2012: The Philippines Association of National Advertisers (PANA) will continue to be committed in championing self-regulation together with the Advertising Board of the Philippines and Advertising Standards Council, to ensure that the advertising and marketing communications industry continues to thrive in 2012. 
 
"I believe 2011 was another banner year for PANA with its renewed thrust beyond truthful advertising serving as an advocate of responsible and effective marketing communications and as key proponent of self-regulation in the industry," says McDonald’s vice president for Marketing and 2012 PANA president Margot Torres. 
 
As  PANA aims to continue the strength built in the past year, 2012 will be a busy year for them. "PANA will continue to be the thought leader, defender of self-regulation, champion of marketing communications excellence, and an advocate of value-driven advertising," says Torres.
 
Torres shares that PANA will continue push for positive values in advertising through the PANATA Awards. Also,PANA expressed all out support for the new tourism campaign and its active participation in establishing guidelines for digital measurements. Included in PANA’s goals are to be the thought leader and champions uplifting marketing excellence to a global level.
 
"PANA is looking forward to having its third PANA Brand Camp and bringing home another metal from the Cannes Lions Young Marketers Competition," shares Torres. 
 
PANA aims to continue their success in 2011 as they induct the 2012 PANA Board of Directors and PANA Foundation Board of Trustees today at Dusit Hotel, Makati.
 
PANA, established in 1958, has a total of 300 members. In 2011, PANA underwent rebranding and emphasized their logo with the phrase "Beyond Truth in Advertising."
