GIGIL, GUT, & ARCADE have released another slapping new film to promote Cowards Don’t Go To Heaven by Eugene Cheong, former Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy APAC and DDB Asia.
Given the book’s reputation for hitting readers with brutal lessons, it seems even industry legends aren’t safe. The film stars Anselmo Ramos, Co-Founder and Creative Chairman of GUT, who is seen powering through the pages in his office before receiving a literal, brutal slap to the face.
The film serves as a prequel to the original Heaven film launched at the D&AD HQ, where a young creative receives a barrage of unapologetic slaps: a video that culminated in a surprise cameo by Ramos nursing his jaw with a cold pack. This new release directed by Marius Talampas & Gut finally explains why.
