TREYNA Group’s creative bench shines at the 2026 Kidlat Awards

For nearly five decades, TREYNA Group has reinvented itself through changing agency names, holding companies, and industry shifts. Yet one principle has remained constant: a challenger mindset that values curiosity, courage, and the willingness to evolve.

That philosophy took center stage at the 2026 Kidlat Awards, where the agency dominated the !NDUSTRY honors with Abi Aquino named Chief Creative Officer of the Year (Bronze), Roman Carlo Olivarez as Executive Creative Director of the Year (Silver), Mylo De Borja as Creative Director of the Year (Silver), Adrian De Guzman as Art Director of the Year (Silver), and Paulo Dela Rosa as Copywriter of the Year (Silver).

The sweep also reinforces what TREYNA has repeatedly described as its defining culture. Following its transition from MullenLowe TREYNA earlier this year, the agency has positioned itself as a “48-year startup” – one that continues to embrace reinvention rather than rely on legacy. President and CEO Mike Trillana has described the agency’s success as rooted in maintaining a challenger mentality regardless of its scale, while Abi, who was also inducted into the 4As Philippines Creative Guild Hall of Fame on the same night, has championed a creative culture built on curiosity, courage, and “kulit.” That mindset has allowed the agency to remain culturally relevant across generations, producing iconic campaigns while continually expanding into advocacy, technology, production, public relations, and brand experience.

That culture was reflected in the agency’s performance across this year’s competition. “Right to Care: Expanding Healthcare Proxy Rights Nationwide” continued its remarkable awards journey with a Gold for Most Creative Long Term Campaign, a Silver for Most Creative Political or Public Service Campaign, and Bronze medals for Most Creative New Product/Service (Re)Launch and Most Creative Causes & Social Good Communication. “The Knorr Cube Emoji” also picked up Bronze awards in Best Digital/Social Advertising and Most Creative Low-Budget Campaign, demonstrating the agency’s ability to balance purpose-led innovation with culturally resonant brand work.
