Carlsberg Singapore challenges Barclays fans with ‘Test Your Faith’ app

SINGAPORE, September 16, 2013 – Challenging football fans to prove their faith in their favorite Barclays Premier League (BPL) team, Carlsberg Singapore launched a Facebook app called ‘Test Your Faith.’ 
 
The app challenges consumers to pledge the more interesting and creative dare for their favorite BPL team, whether they are willing to drop their pants or down 10 chilli padi.
 
"We know that football is a game full of ups and downs. Carlsberg seeks to not only celebrate winning but also the effort of going the extra mile for their team. Proving their faith in their team with real commitment and action through ‘Test Your Faith’ definitely calls for a Carlsberg!” said John Botia, managing director of Carlsberg Singapore.
  
Running from September 13 to October 24, the most creative pledge submitted at the end of the six week campaign will walk away with the grand prize: an all-expense paid, VIP Carlsberg BPL experience for two in UK, including access to a live BPL match and a visit to their team’s home ground.
 
Carlsberg will reward fans who fulfill their pledges with an exclusive ‘Test Your Faith’ football kit that includes a includes a personalized official jersey of their selected team, a beer koozie printed with their pledge, a Soleus sports watch and a limited edition Carlsberg six-can pack for the Barclays Premier League. 
 
Each week, for a period of six weeks, ‘Test Your Faith’ football kits will be given to the three most interesting dares fulfilled on the app.

According to Botia, the app officially kicks off a series of activations planned to target and engage football fans and consumers all over Singapore. 
 
An on-ground version of the app will be held during a special Carlsberg live screening of the match between Tottenham and Chelsea. The live screening will be held at Wala Wala @ Holland Village on September 28 at 7.45pm.
