DDB China wins big at 4A Golden Seal for work on family time

ASIA-PACIFIC – CHINA, OCTOBER 17, 2012 – DDB China Group took home the Grand Prix (and Gold) at the 7th China 4A Golden Seal Creative Awards held on October 13, for its ‘Keyboard of Isolation’ campaign for the Family Care for Grassroots Community. 
 
The ‘Keyboard of Isolation’ tackles the adverse effects of computers to relationships within the family. Family Care for Grassroots Community advocates spending less time online and more with the family.
 
DDB interviewed families that have poor relationships and photographers recorded scenes. A team then modeled more than 100 9cm figurines in likeness of the family members, sealed them in glass jars and arranged them in form of a keyboard. They set up the installation in an IT mall and was then extended to places where more people can experience it. 
 
DDB also walked away with a Gold, Silver and 3 Bronzes for campaigns done for clients including Shanghai Volkswagen, Philips and the Shanghai Natural History Museum.
