"Players can individualize the game," said Siebert, noting that players can customize game characters, skills, and magic powers as they navigate their way through Dracania, a fantasy land teeming with dragons, witches and monsters.

"Drakensang is about growth for us. We keep it constantly evolving," said Siebert, who shared that Drakensang’s roots come from Radon Labs, a video game developer based in Germany.

With the company’s purchase by Bigpoint, a browser company, Siebert said they had to "relearn what games are," particularly when it came to making it easier for the user.

Bigpoint continues to develop the game, which is updated every two weeks. Drakensang already has over 500 monsters, over 700 quests, and over 4,000 items. There will also be a new archetype with a completely different gameplay, with 13 uniques skills, 36 new talents, and new equipment, items, and possibilities.

As part of the Friendster Exclusive (FX) series, Drakensang will have specific items that are exclusive for users of Friendster. Iannis Hanen, Friendster chief executive officer, remarked that launching Drakensang Online FX "has proven that we are on the right direction by adding premium games to our FX series."

Siebert said that although Drakensang was strong in Europe, they were never really strong in this market. Despite this, Drakensangers, one of the first fan sites for the game was from the Philippines.

With the launch, Friendster and Bigpoint look forward to expanding their connections with the gaming community in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore.
