TBWAIndia appoints Shirin Johari as creative director

GLOBAL – INDIA, JULY 26, 2013 – TBWA\India appointed Shirin Johari as the new creative director. She will be based in Mumbai and will report directly to Parixit Bhattacharya, TBWA\India chief creative officer.

“Shirin’s creative pedigree and track record speak for themselves. She is unquestionably one of the best talents in the industry today. She is passionate about using her skills for good. At TBWA, we are building a team of people who are inventive, ambitious and kind. Shirin is one such individual and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for our clients,” commented Bhattacharya.

Johari started her advertising career in 2005 with JWT, and has also worked with Ogilvy, Creativeland Asia and DDB Mudra. Among the clients she have worked with over the past eight years are HSBC, Vodafone, Emirates, Parle Agro, Frooti, Baileys, TopGear and Volkswagen.

She recently bagged gold and bronze awards in the 2013 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Design category for ‘The Hinglish Project.’ Moreover, Johari won over 30 national and international awards for various campaigns.
