The Global Awards World’s Best Healthcare Advertising awarding ceremonies to be held in New York City and Sydney

NEW YORK/ SYDNEY – November 8, 2013 – The awarding ceremonies for the Global Awards World’s Best Healthcare Advertising will honor the 2013 winners globally, in New York City, United States, and Sydney, Australia. Both celebrations will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013.

"Celebrations taking place in New York and Sydney allow The Global Awards to honor the creative talent in the international healthcare advertising industry and award brilliance on both sides of the planet,” said Michael Demetriades, Global Awards executive director.
 
"The Global Awards sets the creative bar for the industry and attracts the best work the industry has to offer, we’re thrilled to be celebrating all of 2013’s award winners!” he said.
 
The Global Awards will host their New York City celebration at the Helen Mills Event Space & Theater located at 137 West 26th Street in midtown-Manhattan. 
 
The evening will kick off with a cocktail reception and a showcase of the 2013 award-winning work. An awards ceremony will follow, and the celebration will end with an after-party.
 
Trophies will be presented to this year’s attending award-winners by Demetriades, Tom Domanico, Global Awards Advisory Board chairman & Draft FCB Healthcare chairman emeritus; and members of this year’s Grand & Executive Jury.
 
The Global Awards  and Bravo!, a committee of Australian healthcare professionals with representation from healthcare agencies and the Communications Council of Australia will also host the Global Awards ceremony in Sydney, Australia. 
 
The gala will take place at The Blue Beat, located at 16 Cross Street, Double Bay Sydney. Global Award winners and guests will celebrate with cocktails and view a showcase of this year’s award-winning works from the Asia/Pacific region, followed by an award presentation.
 
”This year Australia and New Zealand have achieved an amazing 43 shortlisted Global Award entries. Although we consistently do well, this is a huge leap in shortlisted entries, and testament to the success of a Bravo! – a night of celebration which was instigated to  raise the creative bar," said June Laffey, executive creative director, McCann Health, Sydney and Bravo committee head.
 
"This year the Bravo! Party will be even bigger and better than ever, with live music by the very talented Craig Calhoun late into the night,” Laffey added.
 
All Global Award winners and attendees are invited to the awards ceremony of their choice.
