Today, he started Sagip San Mateo, a relief effort for communities so remote, the government rescue parties couldn’t (or didn’t have time) to get to them. Hernandez says that most affected by Typhoon Ondoy are families with many young children. Although they didn’t have much to begin with, now they have no food, no water and no homes.
