by Anna Gamboa

MANILA – Launching their first Experience Shop with much fanfare at the SM Mall of Asia, within the new Cyberzone Area, Huawei’s interiors matched the clean lines of their smartphones, and packed quite as much features too. Drawing in a crowd of enthusiastic spectators, media guests, and celebrities–the simple, neutral-colored, minimalist store look was meant to showcase the “Huawei and I” philosophy.

Taking this next step after having 40 brand stores, 32 kiosks and lounges all over the country, the brand is hoping to achieve its target of 60 brand shops by the end of the year. Stocked with the latest devices, the staff on hand are also knowledgable and can best demonstrate the features of each smartphone like the Huawei Nexus 6P, Huawei G8 as well as the new Huawei Watch.

Apart from the sparkling new gadgets on display for everyone to try in the 110-sqm store, the Huawei Powerbike, a device-charging station which uses pedal power to juice up smartphones hooked to it. Meant to be more of a customer engagement activity than a product for sale, the bike is meant to highlight the brand’s power saving advantage.

Symbolizing the brand’s continuous growth from a reliable and respected brand, to a brand with a meaningful purpose, the Experience Store serves as a place where consumers who are curious about Huawei can be best immersed in the products with experts reliably giving them advice on what they really need from a smartphone.
