Brand & Business: #MayFurEverWithGlobe — Celebrate V-Day with special treats for you and your pets

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — They are there for us no matter what. Through our ups and downs, our pets are reliable companions that give us a constant source of comfort and unconditional love. They are our simple joy, as much as we are theirs.

This Valentine’s Day, Globe is putting the spotlight on our pet friends, furry or otherwise, with special treats that they can enjoy with their humans.

Through the #MayFureverWithGlobe campaign, Globe customers are invited to create tribute posts for their pets on social media and help spread feel-good messages about pet love.

The activity will run until February 18, with a total of 40 winners who can win 2,000 Globe or TM Rewards points that may be converted into Lazada or Shopee credits to purchase pet supplies. Prizes also include a love offering to the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) on behalf of their pets to help look after stray dogs and cats.

And to capture priceless moments with their pets, Metro Manila winners will be treated to a pet photoshoot at the country’s first selfie studio.

“Our pets are a source of simple joys, and they have shown us pure love amid the stressful times of the pandemic. Through this campaign, we hope to remind people that they are not alone in their fight against stress and anxiety. They have sources of love around them, such as the unconditional love that pets provide,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe Chief Sustainability Officer and SVP for Corporate Communications.

#MayFureverWithGlobe has drawn support from GMA actresses Kiray Celis and Arianne Bautista, celebrity athlete and volleyball icon Aby Maraño, Myx VJ Ai Dela Cruz, YouTuber, and singer Claudine Co, gamer and live streamer Peachy Santos (PeachyTwice), and online influencers Jae Miranda, Bianca Gan, Adrian Insigne, and Klio Manabat. They have posted videos of their pets on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and are inviting their followers to do the same.

#MayFureverWithGlobe is the second initiative under Globe’s #AtinAngSimpleJoys campaign, which promotes purposeful everyday hobbies that have been found to help alleviate stress and anxiety, common symptoms of mental health distress.

#AtinAngSimpleJoys also gave rise to last year’s viral challenge #PlantHappinessPH, which focused on the positive mental health effects of taking care of plants.

As a company that genuinely cares for the well-being of its customers, Globe continues to introduce programs that encourage people to find simple joys in life. It believes that positive and meaningful relationships with people, plants, and animals can play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy mental state.

With the pandemic affecting the mental wellness of many Filipinos, Globe launched a series of targeted mental health webinars to help specific interest groups better understand the issue and play an active role in assisting others to stay mentally healthy. The webinars, alongside other campaigns, introduced support channels the general public can reach out to should they need help for mental health issues.

Globe strongly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly UN SDG No. 3, which ensures healthy lives and promotes well-being for all ages. Globe is committed to upholding the United Nations Global Compact principles and contributing to 10 UN SDGs.
