UP AVCOM visits DDB

PHILIPPINES – The University of the Philippines Association of Visual Communicators (UP AVCOM) recently toured the DDB Group offices in Fort McKinley Hill as part of an off-campus learning program for exploring careers in advertising.
 
During their tour, the students were exposed to the way DDB Group works, the different aspects of its business, and its points of view on marketing communications.  DDB presented cutting-edge work examples for its global and local reels. 
 
There were discussions on topics such as DDB and Social Creativity facilitated by Tribal DDB managing partner Chewy Chua, What goes into a DDB Creative Brief, demonstrated by DDB creative director Dax Dacayan, and Starting an Advertising Career in Creatives, shared by young visualizer Nina Garcia. DDB Phils. 
 
SVP/COO Roy Santiago welcomed the UP AVCOM noting that, “It’s great to be playing our part in the fostering of young creative talent”. Tribal DDB managing director John Lucas said in his closing remarks, “It doesn’t matter where you think your talents are – be they creative or accounts, media or digital – this will prepare you for the realities of advertising beyond the confines of the classroom.”
