Dentsu Inc. Tokyo dominates first set of D&AD Pencil winners

LONDON – Dentsu Inc. Tokyo emerged as the top winning company in the first set of Pencil winners announced by D&AD. The agency won six Pencils for its campaigns, ‘Life is Electric’ for Panasonic and ‘Get Back, Tohoku.’ for East Japan Railway Company.

Not far behind is FRED & FARID with five Pencils followed by Great Guns and Clemenger BBDO Melbourne with four Pencils each. 

In terms of the ranking by country, United Kingdom is leading with a total of 38 Pencils followed by United States with 33 and Australia with 17 Pencils.

On April 27, the winners will find out which whether they won Wood, Graphite, Yellow or Black Pencil which will be announced during the awards ceremony to be held at Troxy, London.

Australia – 17 Pencils
France – 9 Pencils
5= Japan, Singapore and Sweden – 7 Pencils
